Instructions for joining the SWVRC:

1. Visit the Virginia State Reading Association website. This link takes you directly to their membership page.

2. Click on the "Join or Renew Membership" tab. You will join the Virginia State Reading Association and then part of your dues will go toward membership of your local chapter, the Southwest Virginia Reading Council. Both organizations have the same membership year. Information is listed below:

The VSRA Membership year runs from August 1, 2018-July 31, 2019.  In order to obtain full benefits (journal, e-blasts, etc), membership must be received by December 15.  The cost of joining VSRA is $30 which includes a local chapter membership.  

Please provide your home email address since some school systems filter group emails.

To activate your membership, you must complete payment. When you finish completing the form, click Pay Online to activate your membership right away. If you are paying by check or purchase order, click Invoice Me and print out your invoice to send with payment. Your membership will be activated once payment is received.

3. When filling out the online membership form, please designate "SOUTHWEST" as your local chapter. Once you have completed the form and payment, you are a member of both the VSRA and the SWVRC.
